The Fortus 900mcTM was specifically designed for direct digital manufacturing. Not only has the build envelope dramatically increased in size over previous Fortus systems, but also improve-ments in accuracy, throughput and repeatability offer quality Direct Digital Manufacturing. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology manufactures end-use parts with no tooling, using production-grade thermoplastics that are ideal for rapid prototyping, digital manufacturing & smart tooling and fixtures.

ABS-M30 thermoplastic (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) – great tensile, impact, and ˛exural strength; layer bonding with latest generation FDM equipment is significantly stronger for a more durable part; versatile Material: good for form, fit and functional applications
MS-ABS-M30-FORTUS

PC-ABS thermoplastic (polycarbonate acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) – most desirable properties of both PC and ABS materials; superior mechanical properties and heat resistance of PC UL94VO; excellent feature deÿnition and surface appeal of ABS; highest impact strength
MS-PC-ABS-FORTUS

PC thermoplastic (polycarbonate) – most widely used industrial thermoplastic; accurate, durable, and stable for strong parts; superior mechanical properties and heat resistant; high tensile strength and can handle high temperatures
MS-PC-ISO-FORTUS

PC-ISO thermoplastic – biocompatible (ISO 10993 certiÿed) material; ideal material for medical, pharmaceutical and food packaging industries; sterilizable using gamma radiation or ethylene oxide (EtO) sterilization methods; best fit for applications requiring higher strength and sterilization
MS-PC-ISO-FORTUS

PPSF/PPSU thermoplastic (polyphenylsulfone) – highest heat and chemical resistance of all FDM materials; mechanically superior material, greatest strength; sterilizable via steam autoclave, EtO, plasma, chemical, and radiation sterilization; ideal for applications in caustic and high heat environments
MS-PPSF-FORTUS

ULTEM 9085 thermoplasticFST (˛ame, smoke, toxicity) certified thermoplastic; high heat and chemical resistant; ideal for commercial transportation applications in airplanes, buses, trains, boats, etc.
