RTV Tooling Solutions
RTV or Room Temperature Vulcanized Tooling is ideal for quick-turn parts cast in specified pantone colors and to Mold-Tech® textures. Parts can be made in as little as 3 days, and we offer a variety of stock materials from a family of epoxies, urethanes, silicones, Water-clears, shore A elastomers, FAR 25.853 certiÿed, UL94 V0, and USP Class Vl Medical grade materials RTV Tools are generally good for up to 100 parts and complex part geometry, very economical tooling solution. Over molding, CO-Molding or Multi Shot part requirements are also possible with the RTV Tooling process.
Materials
Shore A Elastomeric & Silicone Rubbers – A versatile family of 15 Shore A – 98 Shore A elastomers and rubber polyurethanes. These are formulated for applications requiring impact resistance or high durability. Shock resistance bumpers, covers, bellows, gaskets and sealing rings. These may be over molded onto other part geometries.
Advanced Shore D Polyurethanes – High Performance semi-rigid and rigid Polyurethanes are next-generation materials formulated with advanced crosslinked technologies to produce a unique combination of excellent impact strength with high heat resistance and good flexural characteristics.
Advanced Shore D Thermoset Epoxies – Epoxy casting resins are versatile thermoset materials that can provide an excellent solution to a variety of industrial applications. They generally contain a filler of some type that is provided to produce specific handling or cured properties. These fillers can be of a metallic nature, or of a variety of non-metal ÿllers. The specific fillers can provide lower shrinkage, higher compressive strengths, better metal forming properties, or other characteristics suited to a particular application.
Polyurethane Foams – Self skinning flexible and rigid cast polyurethane foams available in different foam weights from 2-16 lbs weights, these may be open or closed cell, pigmentable and flame retardant. These material exhibits superior heat resistance, high impact capabilities. These may also be secondary machined Excellent for large architectural forms, props, bumpers or insulating parts.
Water Clear Polyurethanes – Water Clear polyurethane materials are available in both Shore A elastomeric and Shore D semi rigid and rigid polymers. These materials may be used in applications requiring clear, tough, and tintable requirements these will also maintain clarity in outdoor applications with UV stability.
Flame Retardant Polyurethanes – EPA compliant material conforming to FAR 25.853 for Fire Retardant applications, available in Elastomeric Rubbers, Semi Rigid and Rigid material variations, each with high heat resistance.
Medical Grade Compliant Materials – These thermoset epoxy materials are widely used for medical device applications with USP Class VI conformance requirement. Resists repeated chemical, ETO, radiation and steam sterilization.
High Temperature Materials – Ultra temperature stability and heat resistance epoxies with service range from -60oF to 600oF. Features high bond strength to a wide variety of substrates and is NASA low out gassing approved.
